Payments for utility services in the whole country decreased by 7-10% in may-June in connection with the epidemiological situation of coronavirus, said the Vice-Premier of the Russian Federation Marat Khusnullin.
“We see that while the people were in isolation – payments was bad. In the whole country the fall of payments for housing and communal services in may-June amounted to 7-10%. In light of the fact that shut down the whole industry, it’s not so bad,” – said Khusnullin at a meeting with representatives “Business Russia”.
Earlier, the Deputy Prime Minister noted that the reduction of a collecting of payments for housing and communal services in Russia is connected with the regime of self-isolation.
“In collecting. Indeed, March was good, 92% was the collection, in April, people began to pay less: we see a 67% collection rate. This does not mean that people do not want to pay, they are simply in isolation. Many people, elderly, for example, do not know how to use an electronic service, can’t phone to pay,” – said Khusnullin.
According to the Ministry of construction, the total amount of debt in housing in the early 2020 amounted to 1.3 trillion rubles.
