Tankers 18 million barrels of Venezuelan oil, equivalent to the volume nearly two-month production of the country, stuck in the sea. Global oil companies are afraid to take the raw material from Venezuela, which is under US sanctions. This writes the news Agency “Reuters” with reference to the documents of the state oil company PDVSA, and data tracking of ships.
The newspaper reminds that Washington tightens restrictive measures to block the export of Venezuelan oil and to deprive the government of the dictator Nicolas Maduro main source of income. In June, the U.S. has made in the sanctions list of the court and the company transports crude oil PDVSA, and threatened to expand the “black list”.
Now at least 16 tankers stranded at sea worldwide, as buyers are afraid of sanctions. Some of the ships are at sea for more than six months. They come into the ports, but can’t sell your goods.
