Deprived of license Vneshprombank filed a lawsuit against Transaero on billion rubles

Vneshprombank found on the CBR’s withdrawal of assets, the court intends to collect from airline “Transaero” billion rubles, reports TASS with reference to the materials of the case.

The Bank’s claims are scheduled for discussion on April 27. Details of the claim is not given.

Now in courts there are tens of claims against the bankrupt company from creditors and contractors regarding collection of debts, some of which are already satisfied.

In turn, Transaero airlines is suing the Finance Ministry and the Federal air transport Agency. The airline, in particular, is considered illegal by the revocation of the operator.

Earlier, in February, the Moscow arbitration has satisfied the claim of the airline to the Ministry of Finance on collection of more than 215 million roubles, unduly paid to the Pension Fund.

To the financial collapse of the airline “Transaero” has led to high debt burden (more than 250 billion rubles, including lease payments and 85 billion of debt owed to banks) and the difficult situation on the Russian transportation market, especially in foreign countries.

The carrier came under operational control of “Aeroflot” in the beginning of September 2015, and October 26, Rosaviatsia revoked the air operator certificate. Passengers bought the Transaero airlines tickets to mid-December 2015 was serviced by other airlines, the vast majority carried “Aeroflot”.

The license of Vneshprombank was withdrawn in January. In the message of Bank of Russia said that the credit organization for a long time carried out operations on withdrawal of assets. The obligations of Vneshprombank at the time of revocation of the license exceeded its assets at 210 billion rubles.
