Against ex-managers of Probusinessbank opened a criminal case on the embezzlement of 2.5 billion rubles. This is stated in the message of Investigatory Committee of Russia received on Wednesday, February 17, in edition “Tapes.ru”.
Under investigation were former Vice-President of business development Vyacheslav Kazantsev, Vice-President, Finance — Vice-Chairman of the Board Alexander Lomov, head of corporate Finance Department, Nikolai Alekseev, the head of Department to ensure interaction with shareholders and subsidiaries of Marina Krylova, the head of Department on work with problem debts, the CEO of collection Agency “life” Sergey Kalachev and the heads of the five fictitious firms.
They are charged with committing crimes under part 4 of article 160 of the criminal code and article 33 of the criminal code (“Appropriation or embezzlement, organization and aiding and abetting misappropriation or embezzlement”).
According to investigators, top managers of the Bank organized an issue of shell companies non-performing loans. Under the guise of payment of fictitious transactions and purchases of illiquid securities the funds transferred to the accounts of controlled entities. Stolen thus the rubles are converted into dollars, which then were translated into accounts of foreign organizations and individuals. as a result, were abducted about 2.5 billion belonging to the Bank.
