SW4 Festival: The five MUST SEE acts at this year’s South West Four 2018 in Clapham Common
Headlining the main stage on Saturday, viral sensation Marshmello has come out of nowhere in the last year, and has since become one of the biggest artists on the UK pop scene. Working with the likes of Khalid, Anne-Marie, Selena Gomez and James Arthur, stars are lining up to work with the artist who has gained over 2.2 billion Youtube plays. Famed for his all-white attire there are potential future collaborations with close friends Rita Ora, Demi Lovato and Camila Cabello.
Their platinum debut album Life was released in 2014 has had nine charting singles, including two number ones and three top 10s, making them one of the most successful UK acts of the last decade. Performing on the main stage, which is hosted by Capital FM, expect anthems such As Nobody to Love, Find Me and the Rita Ora collaboration Coming Home, plus their new single Anywhere via 3 Beat.
With current single Rise riding high in the UK singles chart, the DJ has a proven track record of summer smashes, which have dominated over the past four years. His multi-platinum selling debut hit ‘Fast Car’ became 2016’s biggest-selling single globally from a British debut artist and earned him two BRIT award nominations.
Jonas’ second single Perfect Strangers picked up platinum sales awards around the globe, while his third release By Your Side helped launch the career of rising British artist RAYE. Jonas’ single Mama also earned him another two BRIT Award nominations and was a solid fixture in the UK Official Singles charts this summer, where it remained in the Top 10 for 11 consecutive weeks.
Making his name in the 90s with tracks Always, Burning and his remix of Nightcrawler’s ‘Push The Feeling On’ he worked in the studio with artists such as Will Smith, Celine Dion, Pitbull, Snoop Dogg. In more recent times his remix of Storm Queen – Look Right Through went to No.1 in the UK and his most recent single ’17’ went platinum and was in the Top 10 for a number of weeks. Expect to hear his remixes of Lana Del Ray, Sam Smith, Duke Dumont, Rudimental. MK presents a stage at the festival with artists such as Route 94 and Booka Shade performing.
Performing on the Heldeep Arena, Solveig brings his My House party, regularly featured at Ministry of Sound, Escape Amsterdam and Pacha Ibiza to the stage. He recently released the single My Love and is best known for his platinum selling hits Hello, Intoxicated and Places.
