Princess Eugenie copies Meghan Markle’s exact engagement shoes three months before wedding
Her wedding to Jack Brooksbank will take place in the same year and the same venue, St. George’s Chapel, that Meghan married Prince Harry, 33.
What’s more, the newly-married couple will then take a carriage ride around Windsor town, just as Meghan and Harry did.
However, Eugenie has taken the comparison one step further, by wearing the exact same pair of shoes Meghan wore for her engagement announcement.
The nude court shoes are by Aquazzura and retail at £288 from Farfetch.
The stylish pointed suede shoes have a stiletto heel and a cross over ankle tie.
Meghan wore them for an appearance in Kensington Gardens the day her engagement to Harry was announced.
Princess Eugenie followed suit, wearing them last week for Nelson Mandela’s 100th birthday event in London.
She paired them with a knee length emerald green dress by Osman.
Meghan similarly paired the shoes with a green dress, choosing a £489 sleeveless dress by Parosh.
Meghan and Harry also invited members of the public to their nuptials earlier this year, welcoming a staggering 2,640 people into the grounds of Windsor Castle.
With their wedding set to be more low-key than that of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Eugenie and Jack have invited a more modest 1,200 members of the public to the wedding.
Once at Windsor Castle, those invited will be able to listen to a live broadcast of the marriage service and watch the start if the procession as the couple departs.
The announcement was made yesterday on The Royal Family’s social media accounts.
The palace wrote: “Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank would like to invite members of the public to join their wedding on 12 October 2018, to attend inside the Precincts of Windsor Castle.”
