Ed Sheeren released his new album ÷ earlier this year including hit singles Castle on the Hill and Shape of You.

Another favourite was Perfect, a romantic ballad written about his girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.

Then on December 1st Sheeran released Perfect Duet, a version of the song sung with regular collaborator Beyonce.

Met with praise from many of Sheeran’s fans, the song has over 32 millions views on the Ed Sheeran official YouTube channel.

Now Sheeran’s duet with Beyonce looks set to be Christmas Number 1, being odds-on at 8/11.

The nearest rival are Rak-su, who won the X-Factor this year and have stunned audiences with their original track Dimelo.

However another favourite is George Michael, who sadly died on Christmas Day last year.

The Wham! star was known for his band’s hit single Last Christmas, which his fans are pushing for this year. Rak-su are currently at 6/1, while Michael ranges from 9/1 to 5/1.

Meanwhile Mariah Carey’s annual return with All I Want For Christmas is another favourite ranging from 10/1 to 6/1.

Can Sheeran and Beyonce hold out until Christmas Day? Music fans will just have to wait and see.
