Critics Choice Awards 2018 best dressed: Stars look angelic in a host of pale shades
The Critics Choice Awards 2018 were held in LA last night, and many of the A List celebrities put their best foot forward in tones of white and silver.
Wonder Woman Gal Gadot, a winner on the night, looked ravishing in shimmering silver, her deep V neck gown highlighting her slim frame thanks to a black belt.
Saoirse Ronan went for a 20s style dress which she paired with bold, modern makeup. Keeping her eye-makeup ethereal, Ronan added a pop of colour with a bold dark red lip.
Elizabeth Chambers, Armie Hammer’s wife, looked chic in a strapless gold tea dress, which she complemented with a low-key updo.
Diane Kruger, who shot to fame as Helen of Troy in 2004, looked characteristically chic in a cream dress with silver mesh overlay on the chest.
Emma Roberts, Julia Roberts’ neice, kept her dress simple, wearing a silk white strapless number. It was her hair that got tongues wagging on the night – the youthful star tried out a thick fringe more often seen on the trendy streets of East London than the red carpets of LA.
Sarah Hyland, star of Modern Family, went for a classic 50s Hollywood look. She paired a monochrome full-skirted dress with ruby red lips.
The dramatic skirt of her dress was couple with a hint of cleavage. Hyland completed the outfit with a pair of strappy black sandals and slicked back hair.
Not every celebrity chose white, cream or silver for their moment in the spotlight. Olivia Munn looked sensational in a vibrant red dress which featured white embellishment.
She paired with this with loose tubling waves and several rings on her fingers.
Not all of the stars looked their best, with a host of bizarre choices making their way down the blue carpet.
Margot Robbie led the worst dressed, and looked far from her usual best in a black and cream stripped shapeless dress.
Mad Men star Kiernan Shipka wore an outfit featuring clashing prints and colours, and a garish net skirt over trousers.
