Christmas Number 1 2017: Ed Sheeran announces ANOTHER Perfect duet – who with this time?
The hitmaker managed to finally get the track to the top spot after releasing a version with Beyonce, and now – with two weeks to go before this year’s Christmas chart-topper is crowned – he’s got another up his sleeve.
This time, he’s appealing to a totally different market – with Andrea Bocelli.
All versions of the song count towards its chart position, with the festive rundown set to be announced next Friday, 22 December.
It will count all sales and streams accrued from this Friday, December 15, at 0:00 through to the following Thursday, December 21, at 23:59.
Sheehan is currently the 4/7 favourite with Ladbrokes, ahead of Wham!’s Last Christmas at 5/1.
That track never did reach the top spot, beaten in its original year by Band Aid.
Mariah Carey has odds of 6/1, as data shows All I Want For Christmas Is You continuing to score big on streaming platforms.
Other contenders include Choirs With Purpose (16/1), Rita Ora (16/1), Ariana Grande (20/1) and Stormzy (20/1). Gregory Porter has also released a new single.
Last year’s Christmas Number One came from Clean Bandit featuring Anne-Marie and Sean Paul with Rockabye.
Ed Sheeran’s Perfect featuring Andrea Bocelli is out on Friday.
