Arctic Monkeys have confirmed their comeback by announcing their first tour date in four years.

The band said they will be headlining at Firefly Festival which takes place in Delaware in the US this June.

The rockers from Sheffield, who took to Twitter to reveal the big news, have hinted in magazine interviews that 2018 could also be the year of their sixth album.

Nick O’Malley, the band’s bassist, said in an interview with magazine The Ride the band had secretly met up and started recording.

He revealed that he hoped a new album would be released in 2018 and that “if it isn’t we’ve got problems.”
